In the hands of the US-Army
According to AFP, the USA have captured more than 83000 people during their "War against terror" since September 11 2001. Of them, 14000 people are still arrested (most of them in Iraq).
Until March 2005, 108 prisoners have died. In the US-Army there were 400 investigations and accusations against 95 soldiers concerning the suspicion of murder in at least 26 cases.
The former director of the CIA, Admiral Turner, has called US-vice-president Cheney to be the "vice-president for torture".
